Baldock is a historic market town in the North Hertfordshire district of Hertfordshire. Plans for its growth include new homes, open space, community buildings and schools.
What is happening
The development is being led by Urban&Civic and Hertfordshire County Council.
We want to make sure we integrate the newer part of the town with the existing market town, with as many benefits as possible for all residents.

Around 17ha of employment land
Community facilities, shops and services
Primary and secondary schools
New parkland green spaces & play areas
Public transport and new cycle and walking connections, alongside investment in local road infrastructure
